Staying true to the antics of a spoiled child, Paris Hilton refuses to take responsibility for her actions, reportedly blaming her publicist, Elliot Mintz for an apparent misunderstanding that resulted in last week's 45-day jail sentence.

Hilton claimed at a Los Angeles Superior Court hearing that Mintz had told her she was permitted to drive for work-related reasons after her license was suspended for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Judge Sauer described Paris’ Mintz’s testimony as "completely worthless." He said that he did not believe that Paris was unaware of her license suspension, adding that she had paperwork in her car stating that her license was suspended.

The 26-year-old socialite will begin her sentence on June 5, the court ruled, following a packed three-hour hearing at the Metropolitan Court House.

Mintz released the statement: "Due to this misunderstanding, I am no longer representing Paris. For the record, I have nothing but love and respect for Paris and her family. Paris is a wonderful person and does not deserve the punishment that was handed down by the court. I only wish her my best."
