Twelve days after Hollywood writers went on strike, they have agreed to resume talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
The two sides will meet on November 26, but no other details have been released by either camp.
Last night’s Saturday Night Live forged ahead despite the strike, but the NBC show was not live from Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center. Nor were there any television cameras. Instead the cast, writers and a few key production staff members gathered in a underground comedy theater in Chelsea to perform the show live on stage for an audience of less than 200. Michael Cera of Superbad fame hosted and alum from years gone by presented a slightly raunchier and rowdier version of the show.
Cast members of 30 Rock will also deliver a one-time live performance in New York City in light of the strike with proceeds going to the Writers Guild strike fund.
