Red Carpet Rolled Out for Obnoxious Beckham Party

Ahh Hollywood posers. They look both ravishing and desperate as they pout in high hells and shiny suits. The British have rid themselves of the Beckhams and sent them our way... and we have rolled out the red carpet in pathetic preparation for their lame entrance. Since coming to America, David and Victoria Beckham have taken on the roles of the joc and cheerleader couple in high school. Everyone is nice to their faces, then the insults fly once their ignorant backs are turned.

David Beckham, who played 12 minutes of soccer for the Los Angeles Galaxy team, which lost to Chelsea 1-0, was given the royal treatment with his wife, Victoria. A small army of police patrolled streets, keeping the peasant-folk at a distance. There were limousines and TV cameras by the dozen, while Helicopters circled like buzzards overhead.

The invite-only shin-dig at the Museum of Contemporary Art's Geffen Contemporary gallery was a star-studded event with the likes of Ron Howard, Brooke Shields, Eva Longoria, Wesley Snipes, Quincy Jones, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. Jim Carrey showed up with girlfriend Jenny McCarthy, followed by "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller, who managed the Spice Girls pop group that first fed Victoria's giant ego.
