The first Survivor winner Richard Hatch appeared on the Today Show to talk about his experience in prison and also blame the justice system for what he thinks, was wrongful imprisonment and that he was discriminated against because he was gay. Hatch said the prosecution had it out for him due to his sexuality and arrogant persona.

After winning one million dollars on the first season of Survivor, Hatch apparently didn't claim the winnings on his tax filings. Lauer also brought up the fact that Hatch hadn't reported other income.

If anything good came out of this experience for Hatch, it's that prison "reduced my arrogance," Hatch told Matt Lauer. "I know people perceive me as cocky and arrogant. A big part of that, if not all of it, is my responsibility. I went on that show to win. And there was a persona developed."

Hatch served three and a half years and is serving the last six months of his sentence under house arrest. A judge in Rhode Island is currently reviewing his case, as Hatch is hoping for exoneration.
