Busy "American Idol" emcee Ryan Seacrest has added another job to his extensive resume. Seacrest is now slated to handle pre-game hosting duties as celebs and fans stream in to the game. He will also join Fox’s NFL regulars Terry Bradshaw, Curt Menefee, Howie Long and Jimmy Johnson for the show. Super Bowl is set to take place at the University of Phoenix stadium in Arizona.

“The Super Bowl has grown to become a landmark holiday on the American calendar, attracting not only the sports world, but the biggest stars in music and entertainment,” said David Hill, chairman of Fox Sports Television Group. “Naturally, we’d like our broadcast to reflect that growth, so we’ve expanded our pregame lineup beyond the realm of sports. You’d be hard pressed to find a more talented and popular host on television and radio than Ryan Seacrest and we’re delighted he’ll be joining us for our coverage of Super Bowl XLII.”

NFL has yet to announce in-game entertainment; last year saw Prince perform. Networks airing the game are hoping Seacrest will bring in non-football fans and increase the huge viewership.
