Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million to Haiti Earthquake Relief

Actress Sandra Bullock is giving a whopping $1 million donation to Haiti Relief. Bullock donated to the Doctors Without Borders charity, which sends doctors, nurses, logistics experts, administrators, epidemiologists, laboratory technicians, mental health professionals, and others to Haiti  to offer  emergency medical treatment to earthquake victims.

Doctors Without Borders' existing emergency operations in Port-Au-Prince, were badly damaged by the quake.

"I wanted to ensure that my donation would be used immediately to meet the needs of the Haitian people affected by this catastrophic event," Bullock wrote in a statement.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also dontated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders. Meanwhile, Madonna donated $250K to Partners In Health, a longtime medical provider in Haiti.

The Red Cross estimates 45,000 to 50,000 people were killed in the earthquake, which devastated Haiti on  Tuesday.
