Why not be the first to have the blog up? We at Bodog Beat are so steadfast in the obvious prediction that Syesha Mercado will be booted from American Idol tonight, we're already blogging it. How's that for edgy?

Everyone is saying it's going to be a David-on-David finale unless there is some sort of giant upset that will surely send Jeff Archuleta into a stage-dad frenzy. However, if producer's have their sticky fingers in the voting cookie jar like many suspect, a David Archuleta elimination might be in the cards.

TMZ reported that there were on-set tensions last night between executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and Daddy Dearest -- so much so, that Lythgoe interviewed with Entertainment Weekly today to make some diplomatic comments about the whole saga. Also fueling the conspiracy fire is the fact that David didn't receive the rave reviews from judges last night he usually rakes in -- no matter if they're deserved or not. (Hey man, the kid does have a Kermit tone to his voice.)

But... American Idol also embraces controversy and pot stirring -- and the David-on-David finale would bring just that. So in conclusion, smell ya later Syesha.
