Susquehanna Recruits with Poker

SIG, Susquehanna International Group, a leading financial institution with a focus on trading, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, institutional sales and research with over 1,400 employees and 15 offices in the US, Europe, Australia and Asia, not only hosts poker tournaments for it's customers and employees but is now also using them as recruiting tools.
Last Saturday saw Susquehanna spend $150,000 on putting together their first recruitment tournament which also boasted a $70,000 prize pool.
Jeff Yass, cofounder and managing director of Susquehanna, worked as a dealer at the tournament so he could watch how players approached their bets.
"Poker and trading have a lot of similarities, such as making good decisions under pressure," Yass said to the Philadelphia Enquirer. "It teaches you to deal with losing even when you make the right decision."
Yass considers this along with many other crucial poker skills to be extremely valuable to traders, whom he is looking to hire.
Although Susquehanna did not offer any jobs immediately after the tournament, each of the top nine finishers, who left with no less than $2,000 each, was interviewed by recruiters.
