The Hot Fuzz Buzz

"Hot Fuzz" is written and directed by the same team that created the brilliant cult classic "Shaun of the Dead", writer/actor Simon Pegg and director Edgar Wright. As such, it's full of similar tongue-in-cheek British humor and over-the-top antics. However, instead of battling zombies, the protagonists here are up against a more terrible enemy. Nicholas Angel is the best cop London has to offer, with an arrest record higher than any other officer on the force. He's so good, he makes everyone else look bad. As a result, Angel's superiors send him to a sleepy and seemingly crime-free village of Sandford.
The reviews are out and they're glowing. Variety raves Hot Fuzz is, "A straight-faced British spoof of everything from Yank crimers and slasher pics to Agatha Christie whodunits and homoerotic U.S. buddy movies." The Village Voice said, "It's a little gloomier, a little coarser, and a lot more cerebral -- oh, and funnier than all the 'Reno 911!' boxed sets combined."
"Hot Fuzz" opens Friday, April 20th. Find all your movie odds in Bodog's Sportsbook.
