The Moment of Truth Ends Marriage

If you missed Monday night's special episode of The Moment of Truth, you missed everything that's fun and exciting about fractured marriages. (Courtesy Fox)
The Moment of Truth is just like the Coliseum of Rome, where bloodthirsty spectators filled the arena to watch gladiators get ripped apart. Alas, this isn't A.D. 70 anymore - it's 2008, bitches - and now there are pesky laws in place against physical mutilation for entertainment purposes. Therefore, Fox has gone for the emotional death. Hey, no harm in that.
At first, it was all fun and games. In front of a jeering Jerry Springer-esque audience, 26-year-old Lauren Cleri admitted that she takes her wedding ring off when she goes out with friends, knows things about her father that she keeps from her mother, has avoided sex with her husband by pretending to be asleep and would rather give food to a dog than a homeless person (because, she argued, homeless people have dirty faces). Everyone was having a gay old time - even Lauren's spirits were up during these omissions. The audience whooped and clapped to Lauren's truths, which included her being fired from a job for stealing... but then things turned a darker corner.
