The Skinny: Cate Blanchett's New Bag of Bones Look

It looks like "Hollywood Anorexia" has set in for our poor Cate Blanchett who arrived at a benefit gala strutting her bony self down the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

An observer said: "Perhaps it was just an unfortunate trick of the light, but her shoulders and chest were all bony while her collarbones looked really prominent. More worryingly, her hair, which had been piled up into a bun, looked thin and wispy — often a sign of dramatic weight loss."

However, it has been reported that Blanchett has steered clear of this Hollywood "disease" by not sharing drinks with Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, or smoking from the same crack pipe as Lindsay Lohan. Good on ya, Cate. According to reports, the Aussie actress has lost a considerable amount of weight for a film role.
