The Sopranos: Tony Takes A Bath

No Money, More Problems: will Hesh regret asking Tony for payment of his bridge loan? (Photo courtesy of HBO)

The death toll continues to rise on The Sopranos as another episode saw one for the grave. This time, Hesh Rabkin's girlfriend Rennatta meets her fate as the audience is left to wonder - does she die of natural causes, or is there something more?

The color green was front and center this week as Tony continues to lose his shirt (and pants...and slippers...and white bathrobe) on the roulette wheel, NFL and ponies. Compounding Tony's financial woes is the fact that Rabkin has not-so-subtly "reminded" him of the $200,000 bridge loan that is still outstanding. Tony begrudgingly begins the payment process, but allows high-ranking mooks Bobby and Carlo to offer up their advice. That advice, of course, is to tell Hesh to cram it and if that fails, whack him.

Tony's finances weren't the only major issue at hand. Vito Spatafore Jr. seems to have lost the plot, entering the goth subculture while dropping one of the most memorable shower scenes ever. Both Phil Leotardo and Tony attempt to talk the kid out of wearing black lipstick and eyeliner, but when their pleas fall on deaf ears, Tony ships Vito Jr. off to an Idaho-based reform school where they turn overweight teenage vampires into productive members of society.

Meanwhile, AJ's rise to power at the Pizzeria almost snagged him a wife, but it wasn't to be. After proposing to Blanca (to which she accepted) and adorning his SUV with Puerto Rican flags, AJ is dealt the ol' "I can't marry you" uppercut as Blanca re-negs on the deal during the Puerto Rican Day Parade. AJ is stunned, possibly due to the fact he lost the ring receipt from Zales.

The whacking parade continues as the final season of The Sopranos moves along. Which ones of these characters will be the first to get whacked?

  • Tony Soprano - 18/1
  • Christopher Moltisanti - 6/1
  • Janice Soprano - 6/1
  • Silvio Dante - 3/1
  • Junior Soprano - 5/1
  • Paulie Walnuts - 5/1
  • AJ Soprano - 12/1
  • Phil Leotardo - 7/1
  • Bobby Bacala - 6/1
  • Little Carmine - 7/1

Bet on the Sopranos at Bodog!
