The Heck's BBOB Tour Diary - August 15, 2006

Bodog Music artist The Heck's journey through the United States as a special guest headliner at the Bodog Battle of the Bands continues...
Hey guys and gals!
From the back of the turbulence parked in front of a Baymont Inn, somewhere east of Chicago, it's an UPDATE!
First off, we had a hell of a time getting in and out of Seattle…the "Bolance" broke down about 15 times. We had to hook two cars up to both the dead ambulance batteries just to get it another block to Studio 7; along with pushing the 3 ton beast out of the middle of intersections.
We thought it was fixed, but unfortunately positive thinking and blind optimism only goes so far. We got about 20 minutes East of Seattle after our gig and notice the battery indicator starting to slowly wind down, then our lights started dimming. We decided to turn into the nearest town...
Snoquomie?????? What? Haha, not sure of the spelling, but that's where we ended up stopping (parked in front of a Jiffy Lube) and went to sleep. The mechanic looked at it the next morning and as it turns out we needed a whole new "alt'naderrr" (as they say), and two new batteries. They also had to run all the medical equipment just like when it was used as an Ambulance. But luckily, they happen to have a hold on JUST the right parts. The Bo works fine now, and we're on our way to Lakeshore now!
Minneapolis. First show was good. Second show was GREAT! It's always good when you fall in your own pool of sweat on stage, bash your guitar to hell, unplug it, mondo slobber on yourself (Trevor), and break all your drumsticks. The crowd was awesome and we met some really cool and chill Minnites who invited us to a party.
The Bodog crew in Minneapolis was phenomenal. All in all, Minneapolis is a great city! Now it's onto Chicago and the Lakeshore Theatre. See you there!!!
Peace & Love
Bryan.
