Theaters Offer Crack of Dawn Showings for 'The Dark Knight'

Are you ready to see the most awesome Batman of all time? We can't wait. (Warner Image)"]

It's no secret that the opening of The Dark Knight is going to be like a mad frenzy on the scale relative to a 50% off shoe sale at Nordstroms. Seriously folks, people are already freaking out over this movie. And tragically, your Bodog Beat editors are among them.

The film's hype has increased since the recent death of Heath Ledger, whose portrayal as the Joker is already generating Oscar buzz.

Nothing can stop this momentum of this film -- not critics, not word of mouth, nothing. The screens could show a steaming pile of poo for two hours and us fan boys and girls would still line up around the block just to see it.

Fans have snatched up so many late-night tickets for the July 18 opening that theaters in cities like San Diego, Chicago, and even Eagan, Minn., are scheduling 6 a.m. screenings for those who can’t get in at midnight or the 3 a.m. showing.

Will you be going at 6 a.m.? Can you appreciate The Dark Knight and all it has to offer before your morning cup of joe?
