Tina Fey Scar Story Told in 'Vanity Fair'

With a hit show on her hands as well as an uncanny resemblance to a Republican vice presidential nominee, 38-year-old Tina Fey is today's "it" girl. However, in an interview with Vanity Fair, the truth behind the scar that runs down her left cheek has been revealed.

Apparently, when Fey was just five-years-old, she was playing in her front yard when a stranger walked up and slashed her cheek.

"It was in, like, the front yard of her house, and somebody who just came up, and she just thought somebody marked her with a pen," Fey's husband, Jeff Richmond, told Vanity Fair.

"It's impossible to talk about it without somehow seemingly exploiting it and glorifying it," Fey said.

"I proceeded unaware of it,'' Fey added. "I was a very confident little kid. It's really almost like I'm kind of able to forget about it, until I was on-camera.''
