Tom Cruise Returns to Oprah

Tom Cruise disappointed millions of viewers when he failed to act openly insane on his return to Oprah show. (Image Courtesy Wikimedia)

Tom Cruise returned to the Oprah Winfrey Show for the first time since the infamous couch jumping incident three years ago.

Basically the interview, which took place in Cruise’s mansion in the Colorado Rockies, was severely toned down compared to his last appearance. It felt more like damage control than good old fashioned crazy Cruise. Oh well.

In case you missed it, here’s a brief Tom Cruise on Oprah recap:

When Oprah told Cruise that there was public speculation that his marriage was a sham he said, “That’s laughable to me.” He insisted that his relationship with his wife Katie was normal and intense. Some might argue that that’s an oxymoron when speaking of marriage but we’ll let it slide.

He insisted that his religion, Scientology, was normal. It didn’t exclude other religions and was basically super lovely. Whatever.

He said that he believed in God and used his awesome villa’s view as proof. The view was extremely good so we can’t argue here.

He claimed that his controversial comments about Brooke Shields, “came out wrong.” He said that he and Brooke were friends and have become even better friends since he insulted her publicly. Oooookay.

He said that his relationship with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman was “good.” He refuted allegations that she doesn’t let him see their kids.

So basically he smiled and laughed a lot and said that although the whole world thinks he’s bat-shit crazy he’s actually the most sane man on the planet. He’s so sane he’s bursting at the seams with saneness.

Want to bet on when Tom Cruise will finally snap? We do to. Too bad the Bodog Sportsbook doesn’t have odds up on that yet. But they have plenty of other great celebrity bets.
