Tribute to Michael Jackson's Life, Legacy

Love him or hate him, Michael Jackson has accomplished more in his career than most musicians (if any) have done in their lifetime. And he's got the Guinness World Records to prove it. (AP Images)"]
Michael Jackson - His Life
Michael Joseph Jackson (aka the "King of Pop" and "The Gloved One"), was born August 29th, 1958 in Gary, Indiana and was the youngest of seven children. Talented and full of spark, spunk and charisma from the get-go, Michael's professional career got off to an early start at age 11 as part of the "Jackson 5" and from then on it was a rollercoaster ride of huge ups and downs for the pop star -- a thrilling ride to be sure.
Many of his fans will remember him not only for his music, but for his charitable nature; throughout his career Jackson donated countless hours and millions of dollars to over 39 different charities.
Among the records he currently holds, Jackson still has the Guinness World Record for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time." He's got 13 Grammy Awards, 13 number-one singles and record sales of over 750 million albums worldwide.
Michael Jackson - His Legacy
Besides creating unbelievably catchy tunes, Michael Jackson could dance. Dude could bust a move like no one else and we all tried to copy him -- and failed miserably. And then there was that video. The video that created a buzz unlike any other video -- then and now. (Watch the YouTube video of "Thriller" here.) But it's his music that will last forever...
Got to Be There (1972)
Ben (1972)

And so another Motown legend has passed on. Michael Jackson, dead at age 50. May he rest in peace.
