Twilight Movie: Robert Pattinson Meet-and-Greet Goes Awry

Perezhilton reports that fans in San Francisco got out of control over the weekend during a Robert Pattinson meet-and-greet. In fact, they were so unruly, they were denied the chance to meet him at all. The highly mismanaged event saw thousands of rabid Twilight fans standing in line for hours with people cutting line, overcrowding and as one fan described, a "mosh pit" like environment - with one fan leaving the scene via ambulance.

With over 1,000 people in line and only 500 wristbands handed out, the Hot Topic-sponsored event turned ugly as people were being pushed up against glass doors of the mall. After the announcement that the event had been cancelled, people still continued to stand in line.
