It took Hillary Clinton six weeks to stop Barack Obama’s momentum. But Obama regained it in just a matter of days.
The betting favorite to be the next U.S. president stopped Clinton from winning a fourth straight state when he took the Wyoming caucuses on Saturday, fending off Clinton in the race for the Democratic nomination.
Obama has won all but one caucus state as well as numerous primary states. Clinton, however, has notched victories in large states, including Texas and Ohio on Tuesday. Her comeback performance this week caused significant movement in the political odds for the U.S. presidency.
Obama had held presidential odds of 8/15 entering Tuesday’s primaries, but was up to 13/10 before the Wyoming caucus. Clinton is at 7/2 and John McCain, the Republican nominee, remains at 3/2.
The odds for who will win the Democratic nomination continue to favor Obama. He’s at 1/3 while Clinton is at 5/2.
