2008 Derby Trail: Weather Problems Continue for Beulah Park
Up and down weather conditions continue to reek havoc on Beulah Park, which canceled live racing March 4th. (AP Images)
It was the third day in a row that full or partial cards were canceled, and dates lost during the meet are in the double digits.
Racing was canceled Monday as the track continued to thaw from temperatures that where in the mid-60s. Also two inches of rain fell Monday night, causing the already muddy track to become one big mud bath.
Live racing is scheduled for March 5th should track conditions permit. Beulah Park management, to compensate for some lost days, added live racing on Friday afternoons during March. Get all your Kentucky Derby futures in the Bodog Racebook today.
