Court Vision Can Compete at Wood Memorial at Aqueduct

As the Kentucky Derby approaches, bettors will be looking to the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct on April 5 to see if Court Vision can return to his winning ways.

In his most recent race, the Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream Park in February, the 3-year-old mustered a third place finish, closing strong but was never challenging for the lead.

Still, trainer Bill Mott remains optimistic: "He made up a lot of ground over a track that many other horses couldn't that day. It was a good race and starting point for a horse that had been off for a while, and I look for improvement next time."

Court Vision’s stamina and finishing kick have served him well. In his previous two victories – the Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct in November and the Iroquois at Churchill Downs in October – the Donald Foley-owned colt was able to overcome being jostled early and explode down the home stretch.

But Court Vision will face strong competition at the Wood Memorial from War Pass, who has much to prove after his last-place disaster at Tampa Bay.

Find out if Court Vision has the goods to win the Wood Memorial on April 5.
