Delicate Dynamite Racing Toward a Graded Win

With an impressive record of 24-7-7-3 and earnings of over $348,649, Combustion Racing’s “Delicate Dynamite” is still missing a graded stakes victory. (AP Images)

Delicate Dynamite, who is the daughter of Old Trieste is going to get her shot at a graded win when she races in the Nov. 22 $300,000 Falls City Handicap (Gr. II) for fillies and Mares. The race will take place on Thanksgiving Day at Churchill Downs.

“We are committed to the spot, and our biggest hope is that the race sets up for her, meaning that there is a lot of pace in there and sets up for her closing run,” comments Trainer Tom Amoss. “Unfortunately the race has come up a lot tougher than we anticipated.”

To accomplish the win, Delicate Dynamite will have to beat the skilled 3-year-old filly Panty Raid, as well is Kettleoneup trained by Mike Tomlinson among others.

“She is a horse that is very, very close to breaking into the graded stakes ranks, “Amoss remarked. “At this point, she hasn’t done it, and we are searching for the right spot.  This would be a great spot to break in.”
