Drama At Aqueduct

The first race at Aqueduct brought much drama as two horses, jockey and all, fell at the head of the stretch.   Mountain General, under jockey Jose Santos, fell unexpectedly leading to an unavoidable spill for jockey Eibar Coa's Fit Faze.

 After a short ambulance ride to the track's first aid station, both jockeys were examined.   Santos did not return to race Saturday due to continued dizziness.   Though Coa suffered a minor contusion to his right shoulder, he returned to the saddle after the third.

Sadly, Mountain General was euthanized. Fit Faze remains fit.
