Gulfstream Park Turf and Donn Stakes Odds

Gulfstream Park will run the $300K Turf Handicap and the $500K Donn Handicap on Saturday Feb 6, and two big names lead the fields. In the Turf, five-year-old Court Vision will carry top weight of 121 lbs at post time. It will be only one pound more than second-favorite Take the Points, who was recently clocked going five furlongs in 1:01.80. Both horses are two-time grade 1 winners.

The big name in the Donn is four-year-old Quality Road. He will be giving up between 6-10 pounds to the other 9 horses in the field in his attempt at his fifth graded stakes win, and fourth at Gulfstream Park. His only loss at Gulfstream Park came in his second career start, a seven-furlong allowance race where he finished runner-up in his 3-year-old debut. Quality Road seems to have all his health issues worked out and is in top form, coming off a win in the Jan. 3 Hal’s Hope Stakes (gr. III) at one mile.
