Well we know that St. Trinians is for real now. The five-year-old filly from Great Britain recorded her fourth straight open-length victory since coming to the United States in the $250,000 Santa Maria Handicap on Feb. 13, while soundly defeating Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic winner Life Is Sweet along the way. St. Trinians earned $150,000 for the win in the Santa Maria and boosted her career purse total to $268,587. Her record now stands at 7-0-3 in 11 starts.

After stalking a slow pace she out-kicked Life Is Sweet in the lane to win by 1 ¾ lengths. St. Trinians carried 16 pounds and went off as the slight 6-5 choice, clocking an impressive 1:41.73 on the Pro-Ride main track. According to trainer Mike Mitchell, next up for St. Trinians will be date with Zenyatta in the Santa Margarita Invitational on March 13, over the same Pro-Ride course at nine furlongs.
