The $150,000 Lake George Stakes will be run on Friday July 31 on the turf at Saratoga Racetrack. The 1 1/6 mile race for three-year-old fillies will be race #8 on the nine-race card, and should get underway some time in the vicinity of 6:22pm ET. The favoured horse will be Mary’s Follies coming in at 3-1. She’ll have some tough competition from Kiawah Cat and Ain't Love Grand, who both come in at 4-1.

Many experts are saying that the horse to watch out for in this one is the Claude McGaughey III filly Consequence. She’s coming off an impressive win in the American 1000 Guineas at Arlington in May. It was her first race with blinkers on and may have turned her into a better horse. She’s coming in at 7-2 and could be a good bet in a race that lacks a standout horse and also lacks pace.
