Saratoga Horse Racing: Odds to Win the Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap

The 25th running of the $250,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap is set for August 9 over six furlongs. Saratoga race track has their summer meet in full swing and the Fasig-Tipton Festival of Racing will include stakes races and celebrity appearances. Food Network grill master Bobby Flay will spice things up in Saratoga Springs this weekend when he sign copies of his recent book “Burgers, Fries and Shakes” from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday in front of the paddock.
A horse to watch is the winner of the 6 1/2-furlong Bold Venture Fatal Bullet. It will be his first race of the season and he will be carrying 120 pounds for the six-furlong Vanderbilt. He left Woodbine on Tuesday for his race at Saratoga on Sunday. Eurico Rosa Da Silva will be in the mount for Fatal Bullet and will try to improve the horse’s record to 9-2-0 in 13 starts.
