Stonestreet Stables and Midnight Cry Stables horse of the year Curlin will face some stiff competition when he makes his debut at Nad Al Sheba on Thursday, Feb. 28.
The line up includes Familiar Territory, Imperialista, Arqaam, Engrupido and Jet Express. The $175,000 race, the Jaguar Trophy at 1 1/4 miles will definitely be a race to watch. This will serve as Curlin's final prep for the $6 million Dubai World Cup on March 29, also at 1 1/4 miles.
Curlin made his first trip to the Nad Al Sheba starting stalls on Tuesday, Feb. 26, which is designed a little differently from U.S. starting gates. However, he walked straight in the starting gate without any hesitation and stayed completely still in the gates before backing out.
We will have to tune in on race day to see the outcome of this highly anticipated race!
