Street Sense, winner of the 133rd Kentucky Derby, completed a quick five furlongs in 1:00 this morning at Churchill Downs with regular jockey Calvin Borel aboard, in his final workout before 132nd Preakness Stakes this Saturday that his trainer Carl Nafzger called "perfect.”
“He worked a lot faster than we thought, but he did it the right way and it didn’t hurt him,” said Nafzger
Street Sense will be the odds-on favorite in a field of eight or nine this Saturday as the colt will be seeking to win the second leg of the Triple Crown, aftercoming off a 2 1/4-length win in the May 5 Kentucky Derby.
