Two Kentucky Derby Hopefuls Scratched From Derby Trial

Teuflesberg and Bwana Bull have scratched from today’s Derby in hopes of stepping into the Kentucky Derby Winner’s Circle.
Bwana Bull, ranked 20th on the 3 Year Old Graded Earnings list, is sure to make what is expected to be a 20 horse field at the 2007 Kentucky Derby while Teuflesberg falls just short of the top 20 in the 21st position.
Before Teuflesberg will have a chance to run for the roses, one of the other contenders must pull out of the race. At this time, it looks like the most likely contender to do so is Xchanger. Part-owner and trainer, Mark Shuman, said that Xchanger is unlikely to run in the Derby unless he is sold by the weekend.
