Will Street Sense Follow Other Juvenile Champions?

After Street Sense bucked history with his win at the 2007 Kentucky Derby, horse racing lovers are asking the question, "Does Street Sense have it in him to win the Triple Crown?"
There are a number of things that say it is possible. First, Street Sense and Jockey Calvin Borel broke a 23-year long jinx on Saturday. Since the Breeder’s Cup Juvenile race began, not a single Juvenile winner, until Street Sense, managed to win the Kentucky Derby let alone the Triple Crown.
Of the last five 2-year-old champions who won the Kentucky Derby, 3 have gone on to win the Triple Crown: Secretaria, Seattle Slew and Affirmed.
Street Sense’s training seems to be a mix of old-school and new ideas. He was one of two horses that managed an old-school fast final workout at Churchill Downs, the other being Hard Spun who ran 2nd on Saturday. To have his horse fresh and ready for the Derby, Trainer Carl Nafzger, limited Street Sense’s prep races to only two starts this year.
Can Street Sense add his name to the list of Triple Crown winners? Only time and results will tell. Bodog Racebook has all your horse bets - including the Preakness and Belmont Stakes.
