The WSOP field is now down to 1,000 players from it's original field of 6,844. That means we are only 334 eliminations away from the demonic bubble of 666.
Peter Biebel started today with 531,000 for the chip lead but has taken a slight hit and gone down to 500,000 while several other players have overtaken him. One of which is Jeff Kimber. Kimber now leads the pack with 681,00 after getting into the biggest pot yet with Brian Schaedlich.
Schaedlich limped from early position and Kimber raised from the button for 6,000. Schaedlich called and the flop came:

. Schaedlich checked and Kimber bet out another 6,000. Schaedlich then check-raised to 15,000 and Kimber reraised to 50,000. Schaedlich then pushed all-in and Kimber insta-called and showed pocket aces for a set. Schaedlich slowly reveal pocket aces and with no help from the turn or river the biggest pot of the tournament for 337,000 and making Kimber the new chip leader with 681,000.

Team Bodog has seen some big gains as well with Magnus Petersson getting it in good and taking down a 255,000 pot bumping him up to 19th in chips with 345,000.

Bodog poker pro Jean-Robert Bellande is sitting at the WSOP feature table cracking jokes and scooping pots. He currently has around 200,000.

Another Bodog pro, Evelyn Ng, is doing what she does best, keeping pots small and adding them to her stack. She's currently sitting with around 150,000.

Will Soffin is also laying a beating down on his WSOP opponents. Soffin is sitting near us and we got a chance to watch his interesting play style. He almost never plays out of position and so he often just leaves the table when he's not in good position. He told us he often only plays 35 minutes out of each hour. It seems to be working as he's currently sitting with over 200,000 in chips. We just heard that he doesn't care much for his dealer and is going for a beer now, 45 minutes before the dinner break.

WSOP online qualifier Adam Grovenstein has a healthy stack of orange chips and is currently sitting with 75,000.

Joshua Goldstein is in a similar situation with around 75,000.
