\"3pounder\" Wins Bodog Poker Open Event No. 2 - $325 NLH Six-Handed

Bodog regular online poker player "3pounder" won $23,292.50 for taking down Event #2 of the Bodog Poker Open last night. (Bodog Beat Image)
Among the 249 players that came out to play in Event No. 2 of the Bodog Poker Open ($300 + $25 buy-in No Limit Holdem 6-Handed) were a lot of faces familiar to the Bodog Poker room.
Along with Team Bodog poker pros David Williams, Josh Arieh and Evelyn Ng were many other Bodog regulars, including Joe "Dyzalot" Morneau, Jose "head2782" Severino, Smith "nevertilt22" Collins, Jose "papadelpoker" de la Guardia, Jon "PearlJammer" Turner, Matt "thatsNice" Larsh, "daisyxoxo," "Killa_Tyven" and "iLLNuGWichee."
With a field full of established members of the Bodog Poker community, it would make sense that an online poker player who has made almost a quarter of a million on Bodog in online poker tournaments would win another $23,292.50 last night for his victory in BPO Event No. 2.
"3pounder" can be found at the top of pretty much every level of multi-table tournaments on Bodog on a frequent basis. In fact, we just happened to notice that "3pounder" cashed in a $30 rebuy tournament just after finishing the BPO event. Sick.
Here are the full final table placings and payouts:
1. $23,292.50 - 3pounder
2. $14,822.49 - pepsiontherocks
3. $9,825.20 - SheehanMatt
4. $6,776.00 - ShuMoneyTonite

Event No. 3 - $100 + $10 buy-in No Limit Holdem with rebuys - gets underway tonight at 8 p.m. EST, and Bodog will once again juice the pot by adding $10,000 in additional money to the cash prize purse. Players can still satellite into any of the preliminary events through qualifiers running twice daily in the Bodog Poker Room.
The five preliminary events of the Bodog Poker Open all lead up to the series' championship, the $500 buy-in Bodog Poker Open Main Event, which will be held on Sunday, March 9 at 4 p.m. EST. To sweeten the pot even more than the series' preliminary events, Bodog is adding $25,000 in additional money to the championship's total prize purse.
In the end, the inaugural Bodog Poker Champion will be crowned and walk away with the top cash prize and an engraved Omega Speedmaster watch valued at $4,400. Qualifiers to the $500 buy-in Main Event are running daily at BodogLife.com, with 20 seats guaranteed every weekday night through this Friday.
