Another WSOP No Limit Holdem Event Draws Huge Crowd

There's a huge field spread out all over the Rio today for yet another $1,500 No Limit Holdem event, the third in five days. The last count of players we saw was over 2,000 and they are spread out between the Amazon Room, the Brasilia Room, the Tropical Room, up outside of Buzio's seafood restaurant and in the Rio's actual poker room, which is located in between the Rio sportsbook and Lucky Strike.

Spotted out in the field were several members of Team Bodog, including Justin Bonomo, David Williams and Jean-Robert Bellande. Only about three hours into the tournament and Williams and Bellande have already fallen victim to the fickle nature of these massive multi-table poker tournaments and slipped a little below their starting stacks. Bellande found himself the victim of a rivered set over his two-pair and Williams was just barely outkicked in his hand.

Other notables also playing today include JC Tran, Shannon Shorr, Alex Jacob, Freddy Deeb, Gavin Smith, Joe Sebok, Erick Lindgren and Roland de Wolfe. We have to assume that most of these players will be looking to amass a big stack early on or just bust out as the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low World Championship starts in about two hours and will most likely have another stacked field that these guys will want to be a part of.

We'll make sure to let you know, so stay tuned for morelive updates from the 2008 WSOP.
