Bodog Poker Open III Results For Monday, April 27, 2009

The second day of the Bodog Poker Open III was once again very successful, pulling in more than 500 players to the three different events and paying out almost $60,000 in prize money plus many T$50 bounties.

The BPO3 High-Stakes tournament for the day was a $250+$20 buy-in No Limit Holdem tournament that drew in 117 players, creating a prizepool of $34,250, $5,000 of which Bodog added in out of the goodness of their hearts. Walking away with the $10,275 first-place prize was online poker player "fyoudubby."

The BPO3 Mid-Stakes event for the day was a $20+$2 Rebuy tournament with a $15,000 guaranteed prizepool. That guaranteed amount was put into effect giving the 185 players who entered extra value for their buy-in, especially for "hebs," who took home the $4,125 top prize.

For the lower stakes crowd there was a 6-Handed Turbo Bounty tournament with a $30+$3 buy-in. The 258 players who came out to play didn't reach the $10,000 guaranteed amount so Bodog kicked in the extra money to bring the prizepool up to that guaranteed amount. Bodog regular "daisyxoxo" emerged victorious to take home the $2,500 first-place prize plus T$150 for knocking out "Alienface," ParliGod" and "Panicked," who himself was responsible for knocking out both Bodog poker pros who participated in the event, Evelyn Ng and Jean-Robert Bellande.
