Congratulations to thirty-seven-year-old Jeff N. of FL who is the lucky winner Bodog Poker’s Billionth Hand promotion’s grand prize of $1,000 per month for a year!

Married with two kids and living the life of playing golf and online poker (screen name: Neuge), Jeff leads an enviable existence.

The Beat had a chance to talk to Jeff and ask him about himself and what it’s like to suddenly find himself the Billionth Hand grand prize winner.

Bodog Beat: So you won the $12K Grand Prize, that must’ve been pretty exciting.

Jeff N.: Yeah, I got the phone call last night and was pretty shocked.

BB: Did you even know that Bodog’s Billionth Hand promotion was going on?

JN: No, actually I wasn’t. All my buddies that play there were telling me about it and I was telling them that I won and they had all been following it.

BB: Those are the best wins though, the ones you aren’t even expecting.

JN: (Laughs) Yeah, well I play a lot on Bodog so…

BB: How long have you been playing on Bodog?

JN: I want to say about five years.

BB: What do you mostly play?

JN: Mostly Holdem. A little Stud and a little Omaha to. I usually play $3/$6 or $5-$10.

BB: And do you play in the casino or sportsbook at all?

JN: Sportsbook. I like to bet on NFL. I’m a big Bucks fan but I’m not dumb enough to put money on them. I look into the games and do some research before I bet.

BB: You bet with your mind instead of your heart.

JN: Exactly.

BB: So you’re getting $1,000 a month for the next year. What are you going to do with it?

JN: I’ll use some of it in the sportsbook but primarily I’m going to just keep it in the poker room for playing some of the bigger tournaments like the Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed. I’ll just keep playing large tournaments like that hopefully this will launch my poker career.

BB: Do you play much live poker?

JN: Not really right now I’m mostly on the golf course. I play a lot of golf – about 4 days a week. I live in Florida and we play year-round and so when I’m not playing online poker I’m on the golf course.

BB: Sounds like you’ve got the perfect life.

JN: I’ve got a pretty good life. I can’t complain.
