What?!? The mob is active is Atlantic City?!?! Well, pour us some concrete shoes and color us surprised.

Apparently, though, that is exactly what authorities uncovered when they busted an illegal sports gambling ring being run out of a high-stakes poker room of the Borgata in Atlantic City. As a result of "Operation High Roller," 18 people were arrested, including four with ties to the Philadelphia mob - the alleged ringleaders - and six employees of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

The alleged leader, Andrew "The Grown Up"* Mical, was arrested along with Joseph "The Ugly"** Wishnick, the supervisor of the poker room. $22 million in sports bets have been made in the high stakes poker room since March of last year on college and pro football and basketball. The casino is asserting that they were involved in no wrongdoing and the crimes were perpetrated by "rogue employees" who only had access to the super-user account during testing... wait, wrong denial story. LOL mobaments.
