Chris Moore took the chip lead into the final table of the 2008 Wynn Classic and rode that advantage all the way to the win and a $692,286 payday. Not even WSOP bracelet winner Ryan Young, who held the lead going into heads-up play, could stop Moore from emerging victorious. After finishing third at this event last year, it just seemed like he wanted it more after coming so close.

Moore seemed content to remain above the fray, picking up pots here and there, letting Young knock off the final table players including Ricky Chow, Jace Markgraf and Blake Cahail. Unfortunately, this led to a 600,000 chip lead for Young over Moore when heads-up play started, a deficit that was quickly erased when Moore doubled up just a few hands into the last stage of the tournament. Just a few hands after that and Young found his A-5 almost dead-to-rights against the unbelievable pocket kings of Moore and just like that the tournament was over.

Here are the full final table placings and payouts:

1. Chris Moore - $692,286
2. Ryan Young - $355,020
3. Blake Cahail - $177,510
4. Ardavan Yazdi - $95,855
5. Jace Markgraf - $71,004
6. Larry Wright - $53,253
7. Ricky Chow - $44,378
8. Alemu Tesema - $35,502
9. Eugene Todd - $31,952

This is the largest cash so far for Moore in his career (by about 600%) and with the 2008 WSOP coming quick, you gotta wonder if that newly infused bankroll will mean we'll see a lot "Moore" of him this summer in Vegas.
