CrackBerry Addicts Can Now Get Their Poker Fix

You see them on almost every street corner, disconnected from their surroundings, their heads down, thumbs a blur and mumbling out loud or perhaps to someone else, you never really can tell. They're CrackBerry junkies, the overly obsessive and addictive users of BlackBerrys, and now, thanks to some high-profile enablers, they have Texas Holdem Poker to fuel their addiction.

BPlay, the mobile content portal for BlackBerry devices, and Hands-On Mobile, a mobile game maker, have announced the launch of a World Poker Tour Texas Holdem game for the BlackBerry set to be released later this month. The game will be available to purchase at http://bplay.com for a one-time cost of $8.95 for unlimited use.

That's pretty cheap -- like crack cheap -- for a quick fix of cards on the run.

“WPT is the number one brand in poker and we’re thrilled to deliver this leading title to our BlackBerry users who are embracing entertainment as an integral part of the mobile experience,” said Nicholas Reichenbach, a kingpin of the CrackBerry market who spends his days as SVP of BPlay.

With the ever-increasing number of poker players looking to get their game on while out and about, expect to see an increase of "BlackBerry Thumb," an actual medical condition that middle-aged businessmen, and now apparently poker players, are particularly at risk of according to the American Physical Therapy Association.

Save your thumbs and curb your CrackBerry addiction by heading over to the Bodog Poker Room, where you can use your nice spacious keyboard and 17" monitor to play the poker game of your choice.
