Well, it looks like the prediction of the World Poker Tour live update crew came true, Day 1B of the WPT Foxwoods World Poker Finals did draw substantially larger numbers. When all was said and done, 250 players bought into the second flight of Day 1, pushing the total number of entrants over the 400 mark, 412 to be exact.

At the end of the day, the most recognizable name in poker - some would even say the Tiger Woods of poker - Phil Ivey, finished atop the leader board. However, he was still a mere 125 chips short of the chip leader from Day 1A, Jason Potter. Joining Ivey as survivors of Day 1B were Gavin Smith, Jason Mercier, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Mike Matusom, Freddy Deeb, Daniel Negreanu, Bodog poker pro David Williams and Carlos Mortensen.

The two fields combined at Noon ET today with 250 remaining to play five more levels on their way down to the WPT televised final table and the awaiting $1.1 million first-place prize. Just a few hours into play and there has already been some significant movement. Potter has remained steady at the top, but under him Ivey has dropped out of the top ten, while Williams, Erik Seidel and Alex Bolotin have made significant advances.

Players who have already bid adieu to the Foxwoods Casino today include Josh Arieh, Men "The Master" Nguyen, Vanessa Rousso and Nick Binger.
