Day 2 of the European Poker Tour's event in Prague kicked off this afternoon with 192 players returning to battle it out for the $1.03 million first-place prize. Since the tournament is going on something like six hours ahead of us, by the time we realized what was going on this morning they had already started and the money bubble has already burst.
We do know that Dag Martin Mikkelson, Katja Thater and Bertrand "elKy" Grospellier have all busted out, which narrows the number of names we recognize and can pronounce correctly down to just a few. Team Bodog member Magnus Petersson is still alive and sitting right in the middle of the pack with about 140k in chips. Spaniard Jose Navarro is the current chip leader and has a dominant advantage of about 200k chips over second-place Mikael Norinder right now.
Players are completing another eight blind levels today and will return tomorrow for Day 3.
Pretty much all of the EPT events are available as part of the Bodog "Player's Choice" package, which rewards one winner a week with a $12,000 prize package to play in a major international tournament. Head over to the Bodog Poker room and check out the poker tournament schedule to see when the next qualifier is for your chance to play for this opportunity of a lifetime.
