Only two weeks remain to enter to be a part of reality television history.

On May 6, Calvin Ayre Wild Card Poker II will stop accepting applications and begin selecting 12 contestants to compete for $2-million, the largest prize in reality TV history.

The show’s selection process is threefold and gives anybody a chance at the cash. First, potential participants can upload a photograph or a 2-3 minute audition video showcasing why they should be part of the record-breaking event. Finally, tournament poker play occurs three times per week until April 25, with the top-five finishers automatically entered into a final tournament determining who moves on to the show.

The record-breaking program will be filmed in British Columbia, Canada where contestants join the rest of the Bodog TV crew for a 30-day video shoot beginning in Summer 2007. The show will air in Fall 2007.

“Season II is already shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before,” said Calvin Ayre, the show’s host and creator. “The new direction we’re taking with the second season of the show—integrating the social networking and user generated content world by casting 11 of the contestants online—is guaranteed to have an interesting effect on the dynamics. One thing is for sure, with a $2 million grand prize up for grabs, the competition is going to be intense.”
