All eyes were on chip leader Eric "Rizen" Lynch to begin Day 3 of the EPT Caribbean Adventure, but before long attention switched to David "The Dragon" Pham as he quietly roared his way into the lead. He would end up finishing with an almost 2-1 lead over second-place Kris Kuykendall.

Pham began the day in the top twenty and before long slowly began amassing chips, moving into the top spot toward the end of the day and out to a commanding lead. After a spectacular year that saw the two-time WSOP bracelet winner take down CardPlayer's Player of the Year title, Pham seems determined to repeat this accomplishment in 2008. In 2007, he made two WPT final tables and bubbled another and made a WSOP final table and cashed in a second WSOP event. A win here would put him over the $8 million mark for career earnings.

Other big name poker pros among the 40 still remaining from the starting 153 include William Thorson, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Eric "Rizen" Lynch, Rhett Buttler and Victor Ramdin. Play resumes at noon today and will wrap up when the final nine players who will make up the final table are left standing. Stay tuned to the Beat for more updates.
