EPT Prague Down to Final Table

The European Poker Tour event in Prague is down the the eight poker players who make up the final table."]

After drawing an impressive total field of 570 players and generating a prize pool of €2,764,500 ($3.6 million), the EPT Prague is now down to eight remaining players. Four days of poker are in the books and now the final table will get underway tomorrow to see who will take home the €774,000 ($1.03 million) first-place prize.

Of the eight players who will be battling it out for the second EPT Prague trophy, three are Italians, including the chip leader - Salvatore Bonaventura. The other two - Francesco Cirianni and Massimo Di Cicco - are in third and fifth, respectively. The only North American at the final table is Canadian poker player Andrew Alan Chen. Unfortunately, none of the eight players have much name recognition out side of their friends and family so this post is a lot less fun to write than you think it would be.

Anyway, here are the final table places and chip counts:

1. Salvatore Bonavena - 1,402,000
2. Alexiou Konstantinos - 1,382,000
3. Francesco Cirianni - 807,000
4. Fredrik Nygard - 666,000
5. Massimo Di Cicco - 429,000
6. Nasr El Nasr - 376,000
7. Raul Mestre - 313,000
8. Andrew Alan Chen - 309,000

Play gets back underway at 1pm local time and will end when we have a new EPT Prague champ and possibly the first-ever EPT title for an Italian poker player.
