Eric \"Sheets\" Haber Wins WSOP Circuit Event in Atlantic City

Noted online poker player Eric "Sheets" Haber took down the WSOP Circuit event in Atlantic City over the weekend beating a strong field of 277 players which included several other recognizable online players and live tournament pros like Hevad "Rain" Khan, Thayer "Thay3r" Rasmussen, Eric "E-Fro" Froelich, Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy, Cyndi Violette and Young Phan.

At the final table, Haber found himself up against Nick Binger, who is looking to catch up to his WSOP final tablist brother Michael Binger but is still about $4.5 million short, and Dan Hicks, who led the field throught most of Day 1 and 2. The heads-up match between he and Hicks was fairly short as Haber 's sick run of cards at the final table continued, carrying him to the victory. He receives $431,136 for first place and a seat at the 2008 WSOP Main Event.

The WSOP Circuit only has three more events left on the schedule before the 2008 WSOP kicks off. However, there are still many. many qualifiers available in the Bodog Poker room for the World Series of Poker. There are at least four WSOP seats up for grabs every week in March and April with that number jumping to five per week in May and June.
