Fancy Pants and Fancier Chip Stacks at the WSOP Europe

Poker pro Mark Vos assembled a very nice chip castle during the £2,500 HORSE event at the 2007 WSOP Europe. (Bodog Beat Image)
Due to the dress code at The Empire Casino, many of the top-name poker pros are showing up in some very dapper duds, while the usual T-shirt and sandals crowd has been forced to update their wardrobes a bit.
We've seen a lot more style at the WSOP Europe than what we would usually find in the Amazon Room at the Rio. It almost makes this game civilized. Trust the Brits.
As this is a HORSE event, the action can be a little slow at times due to the limits of the different games played. Poker pro Mark Vos, who is sitting at about 3rd in chips right now, found something to occupy his time by constructing an impressive fortress of chips. We think we'll call it neo-Empirical trans-classicism, or something like that.
HORSE can also be mind-numbing to cover, hence the need to come up with semi-witty remarks like that one. The blind levels are climbing sharply now, putting more and more people in danger of elimination within just a few hands. Recently falling victim to this were Bodog poker pro David Williams, Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo and Scott Fischman.
Taking advantage of other's misfortune has been British poker pro Gary Jones, who is the current chipleader and sporting some very interesting green hair, but he is dressed-well, so all is forgiven. T-shirt - no, green hair - yes. Good to know.
Atlanta native and WSOP Vegas Team Bodog member Yuval Bronshtein is also looking really strong against this star-studded field. He traveled all the way here by himself, bought himself into this tournament and is staying around the corner from the casino in a hostel. He's just here to play poker and having a great time doing so. Stay tuned for more live coverage of the WSOP Europe.
Oh, and if you wondered what happens when Mark Vos goes on break and is asked to stack his chips "properly", the below picture is the result.
