Patrick Bueno became the first player eliminated from the 2008 WSOP HORSE Championship final table when he got called down by the chip leader at the time, Eric Lindren.

Bueno's early exit isn't too surprising as he was not only the short stack (began the day with 695,000) but also the only player at the table who wasn't a poker professional. Not that Bueno stumbled into this final table unjustly. This was his third WSOP final table and his third cash in this year's WSOP.

Bueno earned $230,880 for his ninth place finish.

Since Bueno's elimination The Prince of Poker Scotty Nguyen has overtaken Lindgren for the chip lead. The current chip counts are as follows:

Seat 1: Matt Glantz (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) -- 1,115,000
Seat 2: Huck Seed (Las Vegas, Nevada) -- 1,240,000
Seat 4: Lyle Berman (Minneapolis, Minnesota) -- 2,280,000
Seat 5: Scotty Nguyen (Las Vegas, Nevada) -- 3,600,000
Seat 6: Barry Greenstein (Rancho Palos Verdes, California) -- 1,400,000
Seat 7: Michael DeMichele (Las Vegas, Nevada) -- 2,120,000
Seat 8: Erick Lindgren (Las Vegas, Nevada) -- 3,530,000
