'Giertje' Wins Bodog Sunday $100k Guaranteed Online Poker Tourney

As new episodes and season premiere's of shows like The Amazing Race, Family Guy and Dexter were airing last night, 441 entrants ponied up their buy-ins to play in Bodog Poker's Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed online poker tournament. Emerging victorious from the field was Bodog newcomer 'giertje,' who went home with the $25,000 first-place prize for his efforts.

This is the first-ever tournament cash and win for 'giertje' in the Bodog Poker room, but the path to victory was no easy one. The tournament came down to a heads-up battle between 'giertje' and 'zubs1aa' - winner of the Bodog Poker Open II Main Event and Bodog regular - but 'giertje' was able to prevail and walk away with the victory and bragging rights.

Beating out zubs1aa, who won the Bodog Poker Open II Main Event, 'giertje' proved significant winnings over the other contestants.
