We just saw three heavy hitting poker pros eliminated from the WSOP here in Day 5: Hoyt Corkins, Chip Jett and Gus Hansen.

Hansen made a repeat of last year's WSOP performance by building a big stack and then losing it all after a deep run. Only minutes ago he had well over a million in chips and then was crippled and then eliminated in two hands in a row.

The backbreaking hand came when there was 600,000 in the pot and a flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}. Hansen bet 189,000 and Jeremy Joseph pushed all-in for 520,000. Hansen had him covered and thought about it for a while before calling with {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades} for the open-ended straight draw. Jospeh showed {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} for ace-high. The turn came the {6-Clubs} and the river the {10-Diamonds} giving Joseph the pot with ace-high.

The next hand Hansen pushed after a flop of {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} while holding {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Chris Crilly called with {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river the {8-Spades} giving Crilly the straight and ending Gus Hansen's WSOP run.

Hansen, Corkins, and Jett all cashed for $41,816 and were eliminated in 160th, 161st, and 162nd positions respectively.

There are 158 players left in the field, five are women and one is a former WSOP champion, Phil Hellmuth.
