Gus Hansen Takes WSOP HORSE Event By Reins

Gus Hansen has taken an early lead here in Day 1 of the WSOP HORSE Championship. Hansen leaped into the lead when he made a wheel in a hand of Razz that saw bets on every street. Hansen currently has 176,000 in chips.

Although he showed up late it didn't take Hansen long to make his presence felt at his table where he sits across from Bodog pro David Williams who currently has 93,000 in chips.

Other early leader include: last year's HORSE winner Freddy Deeb who is currently in second place with 139,000, Phil Ivey with 126,000 putting him in fifth place, Phil 'OMGClayAiken' Galfond with 122,000, Isabelle Mercier with 120,000, and Bodog pro Justin Bonomo with around 110,00.

It's too late to get in on the sharkfest that is the HORSE Championship but there's still time to get yourself to the Big Dance with Bodog's WSOP online satellites. The last one is running this Saturday so be sure to check it out if you don't already have your seat.
